Winemaker Bob Oatley and the 19 crew of his 30-metre long supermaxi, Wild Oats XI, are finally getting to celebrate their record fifth line honours in six starts in the Rolex Sydney Hobart race after an international jury this afternoon dismissed a protest against the yacht. Around 8.30 last night thousands of people crammed Hobart?s waterfront docks to welcome Wild Oats XI into port. It was one of the largest crowds seen in recent years, and despite knowing that they faced the protest the crew celebrated their provisional win in what was an exciting atmosphere.
