Route du Rhum - La Banque Postale update from the Class40 participants. On Sunday 31st October at 13:02 local time, the 85 multi- and monhulls of the Route du Rhum - La Banque Postale single-handed race crossed the startline just north Pointe du Grouin off Saint-Malo, Brittany. The fleet will race 3,600 miles across the North Atlantic to Guadeloupe in France's premier solo transatlantic race. Within the fleet there are 44 Class40's including four entries from the Global Ocean Race 2011-12 (GOR): Jean-Edouard Criquioche on Groupe Picoty and Tanguy de Lamotte on Novedia-Initiatives from France; Italian skipper, Marco Nannin on ...
