Route du Rhum. Finally alone! After a perfect start, where everything went very smoothly in spite of 85 boats being on the starting line and hundreds of spectator craft surrounding them, the whole Route du Rhum - La Banque Postale fleet left St. Malo as scheduled at 1202hrs on Sunday 31st October in light to moderate winds, which fortunately are set to strengthen. Aboard Safran, Marc Guillemot got off to an almost ideal start in the lead neck and neck with PRB. But by Cape Fr?hel, the three new IMOCA boats had shown their teeth.
