SOS Ocean Racing has headed out back on the water to complete the solo circumnavigation of Australia. After a pitstop in Sydney to fix a power issue put paid to the solo non stop unassisted record, skipper Ian Thomson is now out to finish off the circumnavigation and claim the fastest solo circumnavigation of Australia record. He is due in Airlie Beach sometime probably on Thursday next week. Having spent the last day and a half at Ferguson's Marina in Sydney, Ian took off this morning at 1000 under a moderate SW breeze however shortly after sailing through the heads ...
