Tasmanian match racing championship started today and it soon became apparent that experience was to outweigh youth. The event began on a chilly Derwent River in Hobart today - but only just! With six out of nine 'flights' completed in the round-robin of racing, sailing the Royal Yacht Club of Tasmania's fleet of Elliott 5.9 sports boats, Sayonara Cup match racing champion Nick Rogers leads the series with six wins from seven 'flights'. Sharing second overall are Rod Chamberlain and his crew from the Farr 40 Voodoo Chile, with five wins from six flights, and champion dinghy sailor Elliott Noye ...
