Nearly 500 adult and youth sailors are enjoyed spirited racing in The Showdown 2010 regatta on Hobart's River Derwent in a light southerly seabreeze this afternoon after lack of wind delayed the start of keelboat, dinghy and catamaran racing for up to one and a half hours. The regatta is Tasmania's biggest event for off-the-beach classes, as well attracting strong fleets of keelboats and sports boats, and is the second annual event conducted by The Royal Yacht Club of Tasmania. The Showdown has drawn young sailors from around the State for the off-the-beach classes, including Sabots, Lasers, International Cadets, 420s, ...
