With the festive period now over, it?s time for yacht owners from the Brisbane area and beyond to turn their attention to the next major event on the calendar; the Surf to City Yacht Race. As the clocks clicked over to 2011, 50 skippers had registered on the online entry system and thirty yachts had submitted either an entry or intention to race on the 22nd January 2011. Based on previous years, Race Director, Nigel Statham, predicts a fleet of 100 yachts spread over the inshore and offshore fleet. Final entries close on the 19th January although as Mr. Statham ...
