The OAMPS Insurance Brokers Australian Youth Sailing Team members have had their first taste of the sailing conditions in Istanbul, Turkey, after picking up their allocated boat for the 2010 Volvo Youth Sailing ISAF World Championship. The 12 Australian sailors and three coaches have been acclimatising in Istanbul since arriving last weekend and hit the water for their first practice session on Friday. Laser Radial competitor Ben Franklin enjoyed his first taste of sailing on foreign waters and the Queenslander is looking forward to racing beginning on Sunday.
