470 World Championship 2010 opening day has been cancelled by extreme weather conditions in the Netherlands at The Hague and also halting racing on day four of the 2010 IFDS World Championship further north in Medemblik. Both events were postponed in the morning due to a lack of wind and the threat of an imminent thunderstorm which eventually rolled in across the coast late in the afternoon, catching a number of crews on the water and causing damage throughout the fleets.
