Wild wind from the east for day one of the Optimist Canadian Champs

A couple of broken masts, many dumped boats, LOTS of bailing, and LOTS of wind, but PRO Irene McNeill and CRO Shelley Vaughan ran four races for the hearty young people in the Red, Blue, and White fleets, who braved the winds and rain of the first day of the Optimist Canadian Championships. The Green fleet did not race today. The winds were forecasted to come in strong, and strong they did at over 20 knots.
