PKRA - The wind finally stops at the Mondial du Vent

The wind finally stops at the Mondial du Vent

Apr-23-2013

After three days of perfect kite surfing conditions, the wind finally backed off in Leucate. The wind was still blowing out of the north in the morning and some riders and locals took advantage of the conditions to get a session in. By noon the wind had completely died and everyone could start enjoying the activities set up around the Mondial du Vent.

There are many things to do around the event site and region. Some riders went to the cable Park just 20 minutes from the event site and others went to go race some go karts. Most riders however decided to enjoy the beach and the sun. Professional skaters and bikers came out to do some demonstration on the ramp and some bike freestyle. The Mondial du Vent venue is a great way to spend the afternoon; with the SUP demos and many kitesurfing brands came out to display their gear and have demos.

If you happen to miss the action over the past few days many videos, pictures and articles are posted on and Facebook.
